With Curious Expedition fortunately I use a similar technique to keep the last save from vanishing when I die. Sorry but for me starting all over after hours is just infuriating but I do not begrudge the design of it in Neo Scavenger or this, so long as there is a way around it. Albeit I have a script that makes "save slots" and I can reload them in when playing Neo Scavenger. Even though I reload saves (I don't like Roguelike style) I have still not managed to "finish" it :) Normally I avoid Roguelike as I don't like that format but titles like Neo Scavenger I just adore. The game is very hard, by the time you get to the 4th or 5th Expedition, my goodness. The thing is I like to play how I like to play :) Games are for enjoyment. Yes, yes I know dying in the game and starting over is part of the design I get all that. No, I don't want to just not play another game, I want to play this under my terms :)Ĥ. Yes I understand saving and restoring would be against the game's ethos and would defeat the purpose.ģ. Roguelike is SUPPOSED to work like this.Ģ.
